The 2018 Gasparilla Pirate Fest took place as always in Tampa Bay, FL on January 27 and I could tell you that this event has to be on your bucket list. It was my first time attending and from my first time experience it was an amazing sight to see so many boats concentrated in one area. The highlight of the event is the 165 foot "Jose Gaspar" which is the world's only fully-rigged pirate ship that sails thru Tampa Bay to demand the keys of the city to take over and have a parade.

2018 Joey Gratton New Years Day fun run
Despite a cold/rainy day loyal boaters & enthusiast showed up for the 2018 New Years Day annual fun run. A wide range of powerboats were on hand from center consoles, catamarans and even full-race offshore racing boats. For more photos of the event click on the link.
La lancha "Sea Dream" gana el San Juan IBT 64!
La CABO 43' "Sea Dream" con Jesus "Chuco" Vela como capitan gano la edicion #64 del San Juan IBT. Humberto “Tayito” Martínez solto las primeras dos agujas azul el sabado luego Juan Pepe Donestevez solto la tercera aguja azul el domingo para sellar la victoria para el equipo. Como dato curioso todas las capturas en la "Sea Dream" fueron en linea de 20 lbs. En segundo lugar quedo la Bertram 42' "Blueprint" y en tercer lugar quedo la embarcacion del director del torneo Salvador Egea Jr "Panama Jack" con un total de dos agujas soltadas. The 2017 San Juan IBT is on!
Even after two date cancellations due to the path of Hurricane Maria on September 20 the 64th edition of the oldest and longest running deep sea fishing tournament in the world the San Juan International Billfish Tournament took place from December 7 thru 10, 2017.

Dunedin FL Jet Ski Invasion
NO MERCY 8
On October 22 over 350 jet-skis showed up for the 2017 Dunedin Invasion. The event was held by the Florida Jet Ski Riders. It was an amazing sight to see so many skis at once!

Dewayne Mills wins the Radial vs. The World category defeating Stevie "Fast" Jackson with a 3.74 1/8 time @ 208 MPH over a 4.03 @ 147 MPH

2017 Superboat International National Championships - Test Runs
I'am looking forward to attending the 2017 Clearwater Superboat International Championship Race. The last time I was at this at this event was back in 2013 so it's going to be nice to see this exciting offshore race again. See you there!
The 2016 Sun n Fun international fly-inn & expo took place from April 5-10. I could only attend on Thursday but I still managed to photograph lots of aircraft performing incredible aerial maneuvers as well as many others on ground display from world war II classic fighters to modern jets and private airplanes. Airfest 2016 Tampa, FL
Despite the two hour delay due to the rain the 2016 Airfest took place in Mc Dill Air Force base in Tampa, FL. A few people left during the delay but I like many others waited patiently in a hanger for the weather to improve to then see and enjoy the
air show. The US Thunderbirds were the highlite of the show with their precise
acrobatic maneuvers. There were also other aircraft on display such as vintage World War II planes, and classic Russian fighter jets that made low passes for the crowd. All in all it was an excellent airshow and it was nice seeing the U.S. Thunderbirds perform again it's something that never gets old!

Varios corredores se dieron cita el Domingo 31 de Mayo, 2015 por la mañana en Isla de Cabras para un pasadia y compartir familiar donde dieron varios pases de alta velocidad en sus respectivas lanchas de categoria "in-shore". Desde Cabo Rojo dijo presente Roberto Miranda en su lancha Ski-Racer Mirage que tuvo tremendo duelo con Javier de Best Marine en su Glastron CVX 20 lo cual puso al publico a gozar! Por el momento el tema de discusion en las redes sociales de "High Performance Group Puerto Rico" sigue caliente y bien interesante ya que en Septiembre habran carreras en el Municipio de Cabo Rojo .
AMS Oil-Extreme Pantera gana 1ra carrera de la temporada 2015 el Puerto Rico Offshore Series
Team Unlimited Marine wins 1st place overall in the first race of the 2014 Puerto Rico Offshore Series season. The boat was behind in second place for most of the race but after Wally Castro's 40' Nortech confronted steering problems due to a broken hoes the Motion Catmaran pulled of another come from behind win like they did in the San Juan Race. The team has back to back 1st place wins.
Puerto Rico Outdoor Sports Show
The first edition of the PR Outdoor Sports Show took place on April 5-6 2014 in the Puerto Rico Convention Center. Outdoor sports such as hand glyding, mountain biking, cycling, skateboarding, rappelling, zip lining, stand up paddle, kayaking, and kite surfing were represented in different exhibition booths as well as offshore powerboat and jet ski racing.
